Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026. This explains what SD Retrofit Grant Check collects and what we do with it.

What we collect

Only what you type into our two optional forms. Reminder form: your email, an optional ZIP code, and whether you checked the reminder box. Quote request form: name, phone, optional email, optional street address, ZIP code, your timeline, your EBB status, any crawlspace photos you choose to upload, a short summary of your checker answers (year built, foundation, cripple walls, owner-occupied, and the result shown), and whether you checked the consent box. Our host may also log standard technical data such as IP address and browser type. The eligibility checker runs in your browser; your answers are not sent anywhere unless you submit the quote request form.

How we use quote requests

If you check the consent box, we share your request with up to 3 San Diego retrofit contractors we've vetted (active California CSLB license and liability insurance) so they can contact you by phone, text, or email about an estimate. We may also contact you about your request. If you don't check the box, the form won't submit. Your request is shared only for that job, and only with those contractors.

How we use reminder emails

We use your reminder email only to tell you when Earthquake Brace + Bolt registration reopens and to send a short nudge before it closes (two emails at most per registration window). We never share reminder emails with contractors, never use them for sales or marketing, and never add them to a quote request. You can unsubscribe anytime: every reminder includes a way to unsubscribe, or just reply "unsubscribe" and we'll remove you.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent, or trade email lists or your information to data brokers or anyone else. Apart from sending a quote request to the contractors you agreed to, we don't share your information with anyone except as required by law or to run the site (for example, our web host and form processor).

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for up to 24 months so we can answer questions about them, then delete them. We keep reminder emails only while you're subscribed; when you unsubscribe, we remove you from the list.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask us to tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop sharing it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Once a request has been passed to a contractor, that contractor's own privacy policy also applies to what they hold; you can ask them directly to delete it. Tell any contractor who contacts you to stop and they should. Reply STOP to texts.
