A free, independent guide to the California Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program, plus an optional matching service. We are not the EBB program, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), the California Residential Mitigation Program (CRMP), or Earthquake Brace + Bolt. We are not a contractor, engineer, or advisor, and we don't perform any work. With your consent, we pass quote requests to up to 3 independent San Diego retrofit contractors. They are not our employees or agents.
Checker results, grant amounts, and cost ranges are general information based on the official EBB rules as we last checked them. They are not an eligibility decision, a bid, or legal or engineering advice. Program rules, ZIP lists, and amounts can change. Only the official program decides who qualifies and how much is paid; always confirm on the official EBB site.
Reminders are a free courtesy. We'll do our best to email you when registration reopens, but we can't guarantee timing or delivery, so please also sign up for CRMP's official email updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.
You decide whether to hire anyone. We check that contractors we share requests with hold an active CSLB license and carry liability insurance, but you should still verify licenses, insurance, references, and written contracts yourself. Don't let any work start before EBB approves construction. We don't guarantee any contractor's work, pricing, availability, or conduct, and any agreement you make is between you and them.
The checker, guide, reminders, and quote requests are free for you. We may be paid by contractors that receive requests.
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, a missed registration window, a program decision, or any contractor's work. These terms are governed by California law.
